Tasteful builder spec home in the historic Woodland Heights district.
Living Area
Woodland Heights
We love our job. This fabulous home could quite possibly
sell itself, however it hadn't had any activity during an
extended construction period. The builder and selling agent
felt the home would benefit by with staging. Well, it
certainly did. In fact,
WITH STAGING THE HOME
SOLD IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS.

The home has four bedrooms and an office off the master
suite, however, we staged only the key areas -- the entire
downstairs, the common area upstairs and the master suite
-- to create a vision for prospective homebuyers and to add
context where needed. This beautiful home deserved to be
staged to better show its potential.
You can see the dramatic open space that is the downstairs living area. Because of the
interesting "sectioning" t was important that all the elements fit together for a cohesive look,
but definition was key.

We were very fortunate to have
Mary Herrmann, a wonderful, Houston-based artist take an
interest in showcasing her work in the home. Her
"Water Reflections" series are photographs
printed on canvas.

Kitchen

Granite counters are elegant and quite the dream surface, and this kitchen has loads of it. The center
island is a culinary dream. The downside is that even as cool granite is, it can be a little cold. We threw
some interesting vintage knickknacks around to warm it up a bit. Maybe prospective homebuyers will
even relate to some of those great old pieces and reminisce a little about growing up. We also populated
the glass-front/-back cabinets separating the additional living area on the other side.
Breakfast or Family Room
To be quite honest this area off the kitchen could go many directions. With the fireplace, it makes for a
more intimate second living area if you were to choose, or you could even make it the formal dining. We
just liked the formal dining in the main area for effect, which you'll see in the next section.
