Success Stories
We thinned out the items on the counters. In doing so, we uncovered some very cool serving
pieces that we displayed on top of the cabinetry to emphasize the ceiling height and to warm up
the space. Now you see a homey gourmet kitchen -- and notice the stained glass above the door.
We switched out the artwork from kid pics and drawings to something a
little more sophisticated
. We also added the potted palm in a pot we found
in the sunroom. And the stained seats on the barstools we recovered with
fabric samples left over from their custom sofa in the family room.
Family Room
We love Marshalls! All new silk/down pillows
for a softer more inviting look. And we found
that great, funky old ottoman and replaced the
very interesting but worn chess end table.
Media Room
This is where all the music happens! However, the room was weighed down beneath the expansive album and
CD collection. We updated the sofa with new pillows, removed an extra chair, and replaced a fruit bowl painting
with a great one that the grandmother had painted. We totally reworked the shelves, created space and removed all
the personal pics except the vintage. And that beautiful guitar was going to waste in the corner! You can barely see
the Persian rug, which we replaced with a jute, then we repurposed to the front entryway to warm it up.

A breathtaking home overlooking the bayou. The homeowner had beautiful furniture
and antiques that were tucked away -- and beneath mountains of clutter in some cases!
